NFLThe National Football League (NFL) is a professional American football league consisting of 32 teams, divided equally between the National Football Conference (NFC) and the American Football Conference (AFC). The NFL is one of the four major professional sports leagues in North America and the highest professional level of American football in the world. The NFL is one of the most popular professional sports leagues in the world, with fans and players from around the globe.
The regular season of the NFL runs from early September to mid December, consisting of 17 weeks of games. Each team plays 16 games out of their respective conference and has one bye week to rest and prepare for the rest of the season. At the end of the regular season, the top six teams from each conference will qualify for the playoffs. The playoffs are single-elimination brackets, which determine the two teams that will play in the championship game, the Super Bowl.
The NFL has a long and distinguished history. It was founded in 1920 as the American Professional Football Association before changing its name to the National Football League in 1922. The first Super Bowl was held in 1967 and has since become the most watched sporting event in the world. Detroit Lions at New Orleans SaintsNFLThe Lions travel to the Pelican State for a match against the Saints in the Caesars Superdome. Detroit is 4-1 on the road this season, with star wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown averaging 100-plus yards per game to go along with four touchdowns.
Miami Dolphins at Washington CommandersNFLThe Dolphins return from a nine-day layoff for a game against the Commanders. The last game in the series saw Washington pick up its first-ever victory in Miami when Terry McLaurin went over 100 yards and caught two TDs in a 17-16 decision in 2019.
Indianapolis Colts at Tennessee TitansNFLThe Colts seek their first season-series sweep of the Titans since 2018. Indianapolis snapped a five-game skid versus Tennessee with a 23-16 victory on Oct. 8. Zach Moss (IND) rushed for 165 yards and two touchdowns in Jonathan Taylor's season debut.
Los Angeles Chargers at New England PatriotsNFLLos Angeles arrives in New England with hopes of ending a lengthy slide. The Patriots have won seven straight over the Chargers, a streak that began in 2010. Los Angeles makes its first trip to New England since a 41-28 divisional round loss in 2019.
Arizona Cardinals at Pittsburgh SteelersNFLKyler Murray visits Steel City for the first time as his Cardinals link up with the Steelers. Pittsburgh has won all three meetings with Arizona since snatching away the 2009 Super Bowl via Santonio Holmes' acrobatic grab in the back of the end zone.
Denver Broncos at Houston TexansNFLThe Broncos begin a run of three straight road games by facing the Texans. Denver was victorious 16-9 against Houston last season, bringing the Broncos' record against the Texans to 6-3. Courtland Sutton (DEN) tallied 122 receiving yards in the win.
Carolina Panthers at Tampa Bay BuccaneersNFLThe Panthers continue a string of three straight on the road by battling the NFC South rival Buccaneers. Tampa Bay has won five of the last six meetings. The Buccaneers are 2-3 at Raymond James Stadium with victories over the Bears and Titans.
San Francisco 49ers at Philadelphia EaglesNFLThe Eagles host the 49ers in a rematch of last season's NFC championship game. Philadelphia won 31-7 before falling to Kansas City 38-35 in Super Bowl 57. Niners veteran defensive tackle Javon Hargrave recorded 11 sacks with the Eagles in 2022.
Cleveland Browns at Los Angeles RamsNFLThe Browns try to collect their first win over the Rams in Los Angeles in nearly 30 years at the end of a road trip. Cleveland won the final meeting before the Rams moved to St. Louis in 1993, but have dropped the past three overall in the series.
Kansas City Chiefs at Green Bay PackersNFLMarquez Valdes-Scantling and the Chiefs visit the Packers. The clubs first met in Super Bowl 1, when Green Bay prevailed 35-10. Valdes-Scantling played his first four NFL seasons with the Packers before heading to the Chiefs via free agency in 2022.
Indianapolis Colts at Dallas CowboysNFLThe Colts lock horns with the Cowboys. Dallas knocked off rival New York on Thanksgiving for a fourth win in five games. Micah Parsons (DAL), the heavy favorite to win NFL Defensive Player of the Year, has 12 sacks and three forced fumbles in 2022.
Cincinnati Bengals at Jacksonville JaguarsNFLThe Bengals visit the Jaguars. Cincinnati dropped its last road outing Nov. 16, and also saw star quarterback Joe Burrow suffer torn wrist ligaments that caused him to miss the remainder of 2023. Cincy beat Jacksonville 24-21 in prime time in 2021.
New England Patriots at Pittsburgh SteelersNFLJuJu Smith-Schuster faces a former team when his Patriots visit the Steelers. Smith-Schuster plays Pittsburgh for the first time. The wide receiver suited up for the Steelers from 2017-21 before signing with the Chiefs as a free agent prior to 2022.
Dallas Cowboys at Philadelphia EaglesNFLThe Cowboys visit the Eagles. Philadelphia sits atop the NFL with a 7-1 record, and paces the NFC with 224 points scored. A.J. Brown (PHI) became the first player in NFL history to record 125-plus receiving yards in six consecutive games on Oct. 29.
Houston Texans at New York JetsNFLC.J. Stroud and the Texans take their show on the road for a match with the Jets. Stroud threw for 356 yards, accounted for two TDs and engineered a game-winning drive in his last road start, a 30-27 win at Cincinnati. Houston is 2-3 away from home.
Jacksonville Jaguars at Cleveland BrownsNFLThe Browns welcome the Jaguars to the Lake Erie shoreline in a clash of AFC playoff hopefuls. Cleveland is 5-1 at home. Jacksonville backup running back D'Ernest Johnson, signed as a free agent in March, played his first four years with Cleveland.
Detroit Lions at Chicago BearsNFLDetroit tries for a fourth victory in a row, and second straight season series sweep, over Chicago. The Lions, behind veteran quarterback Jared Goff, rallied from a 12-point deficit in the final three minutes to beat the Bears 31-26 in Week 11.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Atlanta FalconsNFLThe Falcons look to sweep the season series from the Buccaneers for the first time since 2018. Atlanta earned a gritty 16-13 win over Tampa Bay on Oct. 22. Younghoe Koo nailed a 51-yard field goal as time expired to win the game for Atlanta.
Indianapolis Colts at Cincinnati BengalsNFLThe Colts visit the Bengals. Indianapolis leads the series 20-12 after prevailing 31-27 in 2020. Indianapolis has lost three straight at Cincinnati, last winning 45-37 in 2005. The Colts' Peyton Manning threw three touchdown passes in that game.
Los Angeles Rams at Baltimore RavensNFLThe Ravens are back from bye to host the Rams. Los Angeles took down a Lamar Jackson-less Baltimore side 20-19 in the last meeting in January 2022. Current Ravens wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. caught the winning TD pass for the Rams in that game.
Carolina Panthers at New Orleans SaintsNFLBryce Young gets a second crack at the Saints as his Panthers end the yearly set. Young's first home start for Carolina saw him link up with Adam Thielen for a touchdown Sept. 18, but New Orleans spoiled the party with a 20-17 victory.
Minnesota Vikings at Las Vegas RaidersNFLThe Raiders continue a run at home by lining up with the Vikings. Both clubs were on bye in Week 13. Minnesota's 21-20 loss to Denver on Nov. 19 halted a four-game winning streak on the road. Minnesota has won two straight versus Las Vegas.
Seattle Seahawks at San Francisco 49ersNFLThe 49ers and Seahawks complete their season series. San Francisco won its fourth straight game against Seattle with a 31-13 decision on Nov. 23. Star running back Christian McCaffrey rushed for 114 yards and two TDs in the win for the Niners.
Buffalo Bills at Kansas City ChiefsNFLThe Bills continue a grueling stretch of their schedule when they take on the Chiefs post-bye. On Oct. 16, 2022, Buffalo escaped Kansas City with a 24-20 triumph in the first meeting since a memorable Chiefs overtime victory in the 2021 postseason.
Denver Broncos at Los Angeles ChargersNFLThe Broncos go up against Justin Herbert and the Chargers in this Week 14 showing from SoFi Stadium. Herbert has 10 TDs and five interceptions in six games versus Denver, with Los Angeles splitting those contests. The sides meet again in Week 17.
Philadelphia Eagles at Dallas CowboysNFLThe Eagles seek their first season-series sweep of the Cowboys since 2011. Philadelphia defeated Dallas 28-23 in Week 9. The Eagles' Jalen Hurts accounted for three touchdowns to offset a trio of TD passes by the Cowboys' Dak Prescott in that game.
Chicago Bears at Minnesota VikingsNFLThe Vikings (6-5) try to bounce back against the Bears (3-8) on Monday Night Football. Minnesota's five-game win streak came to an end in Denver last week. That run of success started with its fifth victory in a row over Chicago, 19-13 in Week 6.
