WNBAThe Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA) is a professional basketball league in the United States that was established in 1996. The league is composed of twelve teams; Atlanta Dream, Chicago Sky, Connecticut Sun, Dallas Wings, Indiana Fever, Las Vegas Aces, Los Angeles Sparks, Minnesota Lynx, New York Liberty, Phoenix Mercury, Seattle Storm, and Washington Mystics. All teams are owned by the National Basketball Association (NBA).
The WNBA season is 34 games over 17 weeks, running from late-May to mid-August. The Playoffs start with the four best teams from each conference competing in a single-elimination tournament. The two conference champions advance to the Finals and play a best-of-five series to determine the league champion.
The WNBA has produced some of the biggest stars in the sport, many of whom have become household names. Players like Maya Moore, Candace Parker and Diana Taurasi have all captivated audiences with their skill and athleticism. This talent is demonstrated every year by the All-Star Game, which showcases the best players in the league. A number of awards are given out over the course of the season, including Most Valuable Player, Rookie of the Year, Coach of the Year and the Kim Perrot Sportsmanship Award.
Since its inaugural season, the WNBA has become one of the most competitive and successful women's sports leagues in the world. Over the years, it has vastly increased the number of players, teams, fans and even media attention that it has received. The league has surpassed many milestones such as the one million mark for attendance, an increase in television ratings, and the introduction of new rules that have enhanced the game and driven the WNBA to even greater heights.

Indiana Fever at Atlanta DreamWNBAThe Dream host the Fever. Indiana's Aliyah Boston, the top pick in 2023, linked up with teammate Kelsey Mitchell for a combined 51 points in a 91-84 win over Atlanta on June 13. Rhyne Howard (ATL), 2022's first selection, netted 26 in the loss.
Connecticut Sun at Las Vegas AcesWNBAThe Sun look to take advantage of the struggling Aces. Las Vegas followed up its 2022 WNBA Finals victory over Connecticut by taking two of three meetings last season. Aces star A'ja Wilson averaged 19.7 points and 8.3 rebounds in the 2023 games.
Los Angeles Sparks at New York LibertyWNBAThe Sparks and Liberty end a two-game set in the Big Apple. On this date 20 years ago, Hall of Famer Lisa Leslie scored 18 points and had five blocks in a 65-49 Los Angeles win in New York. Sparks rookie Cameron Brink suffered a torn ACL on June 18.
Phoenix Mercury at Minnesota LynxWNBAThe Lynx tune up for the WNBA Commissioner's Cup final by hosting the Mercury at the Target Center. The season series is tied 1-1 after both teams successfully defended home court. Kahleah Copper (PHO) averaged 27.5 points in the two contests.

Chicago Sky at Indiana FeverWNBACaitlin Clark and the Fever host Chennedy Carter and the Sky. Indiana's 71-70 victory over Chicago on June 1 was headlined by Carter's much-discussed flagrant foul on Clark. Carter netted a game-high 19 points and added six assists in the loss.
Los Angeles Sparks at Connecticut SunWNBAThe Sparks step up to challenge one of the WNBA's best teams as the Sun play host. Connecticut boasts a 12-1 record this year after taking care of Dallas 85-67 in Texas on June 15. Rachel Banham led the Sun with 16 points in 17 minutes off the bench.
New York Liberty at Phoenix MercuryWNBAThe Mercury host the Liberty. New York ran its win streak to eight games by standing up to Las Vegas 90-82 in a 2023 finals rematch June 15. Jonquel Jones (NYL) set a new career high with 34 points. New York's run began by beating Phoenix on May 29.
Washington Mystics at Indiana FeverWNBAThe Mystics roll into this rematch against Caitlin Clark and the Fever. Washington has won two straight since an 0-12 start that included a tightly-contested 85-83 setback versus Indiana. Clark racked up 30 points on 8-of-15 shooting in that contest.
Seattle Storm at Las Vegas AcesWNBAThe Aces try to get right against the Storm. Las Vegas has fallen to 6-6 on the year after dropping four of its last five, starting with a 78-65 home loss against Seattle on June 7. Jewell Loyd (SEA) netted 25 points against the defending champs.
