College GymnasticsCollege Gymnastics is a popular sport amongst institutions of higher education in the United States. It is sanctioned by the NCAA and features some of the top athletes in the sport at the collegiate level. Teams compete in men's and women's divisions, which are divided into three levels: Division I, Division II and Division III. The season consists of regular season dual meets, in-season tournaments and championship meets for each division. The NCAA is divided into regions, with each regional meet sending competitors to the NCAA Championships.
The NCAA has an established program that organizes the gymnastics championships, including the annual NCAA Gymnastics Championship for all three divisions. The top-ranked teams in each division qualify for the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) championship meet. The top eight teams from this meet advance to the NCAA Super Six, the championship final. The Super Six is the culminating event of the season. The champion is determined after two nights of intense competition that feature the best in the nation. At the individual level, gymnastics athletes compete in four events- Vault, Uneven Bars, Balance Beam, and Floor Exercise.

These Big Name collegiate gymnastics teams boast some of the best gymnasts in the country. Notable alumni from Big Name programs include Olympic Champions Nadia Comaneci, Bart Conner, Kira Kazantsev, and Madison Kocian.
