Ladies Euro Tour GolfThe Ladies European Tour (LET) is one of the premier professional golf tours in the world for female golfers and has been gathering exceptional players since its establishment in 1978. As many as 50 tournaments in 20 countries stretching from Australia to the United Arab Emirates make up the LET season, giving players from all parts of the world a chance to compete for the coveted Race to Costa del Sol Rankings, which tracks players’ overall performance throughout the year. The current season is divided into four segments, the UK Swing, the Desert Swing, the Asian Swing and the European Swing. Each segment features two tournaments or, during the UK Swing, one 3-event series. Players in the LET compete for the title of LET Order of Merit Champion and a chance to take part in the Solheim Cup, a biennial match between teams of US and European professional female golfers. Any player finishing the season in the top 60 on the Race To Costa del Sol Rankings is also eligible for a multi-tiered bonus pool, with a total prize pay-out of close to €2 million. The LET is home to different nationalities and some of the most popular female golfers, including Blair O’Neal (USA), Bettina Hauert (Germany), Carlota Ciganda (Spain), Katelyn Dambaugh (USA), Karine Icher (France), Moriya Jutanugarn (Thailand), and Laura Davies (England). The LET has gone through many changes since its inception in 1978. The 1985 season saw the addition of a points classification system live scoring and broadcast events. The 1998 season was the beginning of letaccess, upping the prize fund and greatly increasing media exposure for the tour. 2003 marked the introduction of the Omega Ranking system, the letracecsc, and the Race to Costa del Sol rankings, which is still used today. Today, the LET is one of the most exciting professional women's golf tours in Europe. With over 50 events each season, the top 60 finishers in the Race to Costa del Sol Rankings take home the largest prize pool in women's golf outside the United States. With the emergence of more players like Shanshan Feng and Stacy Lee Bregman, this year’s LET looks to be a history-making season for women’s golf.
