Rugby Super League (often abbreviated as RSL) is a professional rugby league competition based in England that has been in operation since 1996. The league currently consists of 13 teams: Wigan Warriors, St Helens, Leeds Rhinos, Warrington Wolves, Hull FC, Castleford Tigers, Salford Red Devils, Wakefield Trinity, Catalans Dragons, Hull Kingston Rovers, Huddersfield Giants, London Broncos, and Toronto Wolfpack.\n\nThe Rugby Super League season runs over a period of eight months from March to October. Each team plays a total of 27 matches in a standard round robin format. At the end of the season, the top five teams qualify for the championship playoffs.
