Debuting in 1955, "Cheyenne" made history as television's first hourlong western and introduced brawny actor Clint Walker to the world as the jack-of-all-trades loner Cheyenne Brodie. Raised by an American Indian tribe after the death of his parents, the physically imposing Cheyenne calls upon the many skills learned from his past as he wanders the Old West, finding action and adventure at every turn. Like many other productions during the Golden Age of Television, "Cheyenne" had its share of guest stars who would later become famous in their own right, including Rod Taylor, Dennis Hopper, George Kennedy, James Garner, Richard Crenna and Michael Landon.

Gunsmoke

Marshal Matt Dillon (then-newcomer James Arness) tries to prevent lawlessness from overtaking Dodge City, Kan. Helping to keep him grounded are saloon proprietor Miss Kitty Russell and Doc Adams. The television series grew out of the long-running radio serial of the same name, although for a short time they were both on the airwaves.

The Texan

The Texan, a Civil War Veteran whose reputation of being the fastest gun in the west precedes him, roams across Texas from town to town, not looking for trouble, but trouble finds him.

Yellowstone

Oscar and Emmy winner Kevin Costner is the marquee attraction of the ensemble cast in this drama series, starring as the patriarch of a powerful, complicated family of ranchers. A sixth-generation homesteader and devoted father, John Dutton controls the largest contiguous ranch in the United States. He operates in a corrupt world where politicians are compromised by influential oil and lumber corporations and land grabs make developers billions. Amid shifting alliances, unsolved murders, open wounds, and hard-earned respect, Dutton's property is in constant conflict with those it borders -- an expanding town, an Indian reservation, and America's first national park.

The Rifleman

Lucas McCain raises a son while battling desperados in New Mexico.
