Outlaw Country has its roots in earlier subgenres like Western, honky tonk, rockabilly and progressive country, and is characterized by a blend of rock and folk rhythms, country instrumentation, and introspective lyrics.

Legendary rocker Sammy Hagar hits the road -- likely going faster than 55 mph -- on this series that sees him performing with some of the biggest names in the genre at locations across the U.S. Hagar heads to the musicians' homes and other locations meaningful to them, where they chat before jamming together. The show also showcases Hagar as he rehearses with his all-star group, The Circle, and performs on his own at festivals and other locations on his tour.
