Chef Jamie Oliver and TV presenter Jimmy Doherty have been friends since childhood. In this cookery programme, the two team up at their cafe on Southend Pier to make weekend feasts. Special celebrity guests also drop in to prepare some of their favourite recipes. Away from the cafe, Oliver and Doherty head out on a journey across Britain to try to save some of the country's regional food favourites from extinction. Throughout the series, Doherty also uses his DIY skills to create dishes in an alternative and innovative way.
