The state contended he hit his head on the ground, possibly on a curb, after being hit by Karen Read's SUV.

The last communication between Karen Read and O'Keefe happened at one in the morning on the day he died. She seemed angry and texted that she left his kids all alone at home during a blizzard.

The lead prosecutor in Karen Read's murder trial had some questions for the defense's medical expert. This was during a hearing which would determine whether the jury would hear her testimony.
