It didn't take long for Scott Farris to suspect his mother, Melody, in shooting and killing his father. Scott pointed out for jurors the fights and suspicious behavior of the defendant leading up and after the homicide.

Prosecutors wanted jurors to make clear that health issues was not the culprit that led to his remains being found in a burn pile on his property.
