Gene (Gene Autry), Frog (Smiley Burnette) and Steve (Tully Marshall) are Montana cattlemen who drive herds over the Canadian border. When Steve is killed, they follow a clue he carved on a rock, which leads to a nearby ranch run by Dorothy (June Storey). She's a good woman, oblivious to the fact that the sneering Hendricks (Harry Woods) is running a fur-smuggling ring under her nose, using her ranch as cover.
