A group of local animal control workers' lives are complicated by the fact that animals are simple, but humans are not. Leading the crew is Frank, an opinionated, eccentric animal control officer who may not have gone to college but is still the most well-read person in the room. In his past life as a cop, Frank tried to expose corruption in his department, but his efforts got him fired, leaving him cynical and curmudgeonly. Despite his rough exterior, he is blessed with an almost superhuman ability to understand animals.

Animal trainer Brandon McMillan returns to the Lucky Dog Ranch, where he revisits some of the most heartwarming and illuminating rescue stories from his past. Brandon re-lives his experiences rescuing and training shelter dogs and pairing them with a forever family with a need in their own lives. At the end of each episode, Brandon reunite with the family to find out how the addition of a cuddly canine has made a lasting impact on each member. Each episode celebrates second chances -- for both pets and people -- as the dogs are rescued from euthanasia, trained and placed within a loving home. Along the way, one can learn valuable pet training techniques as well as the history of each breed -- and how to use that lineage to set each dog on the path to success.
The Incredible Dr. Pol
Dr. Jan Pol has been a practicing veterinarian for more than half his life. In 1981, he and his wife, Diane, opened a vet business out of their home, and over the years it has grown to service more than 19,000 clients. Set in central Michigan's farm country, this reality series follows the work done at Pol Veterinary Services. Specializing in large farm animals, Dr. Pol treats horses, pigs, cows, sheep, alpacas, goats, chickens and even an occasional reindeer. The program also features Dr. Brenda Grettenberger, who has worked with Dr. Pol since 1992.
