Very Superstitious With George Lopez
Stevie Wonder wrote a hit song about it, proclaiming that when you believe in things that you don't understand, "superstition ain't the way." But a reverence for trusting that such beliefs lead to certain consequences, however unfounded, has been practiced for centuries and endures to this day, whether it involves a fear of Friday the 13th, a rabbit's foot fending off evil, or crossing one's fingers for luck. Comic George Lopez is fascinated by the subject, having been raised in a very superstitious home in Mexico. After years of bad luck, Lopez hopes to tap what he learned as a boy by exploring the beliefs and rituals of others. On this series, he travels around the U.S. to meet various people who hold unusual beliefs and discover the role these superstitions play in their lives.
