Dr. K's Exotic Animal ERIn the varied forms of veterinary medicine, Dr. Susan Kelleher's practice may be one of the more unusual. Known as Dr. K, she runs South Florida's Broward Avian and Exotics Animal Hospital, and this series follows the staff as it cares for rabbits, ferrets, foxes, fish, birds, reptiles, marsupials, and even primates. As do some other vets, Kelleher thinks domesticating wild animals like monkeys is a bad idea, but that feeling doesn't interfere with her taking care of them: "If it will fit through the door, I'll treat it," she says.
S9, EP5 "This Little Piggie Goes Berserk!"A young monkey with anger issues is treated; a guinea pig has a lump under its chin.
S9, EP2 "Oui, Oui... Piggie!"A duck has a rusty hook in its foot; a very sick ferret is losing weight at an alarming rate; a rabbit with a severely twisted neck; a pretty pig gets a pedicure.
S9, EP8 "Sick as a Prairie Dog"A prairie dog is anything but perky, and a hedgehog might have mites.
S9, EP9 "Your Royal Sinus"Dr. K examines and treats a beloved 10-year-old rabbit that has serious sinus and eye issues.
S9, EP4 "Can't Bite Me Love"A parakeet narrowly escapes a cat attack; a newborn bunny fights for its life.
S9, EP6 "Band of Bunnies"A bunny arrives in desperate need of blood while a monkey with a lump awaits a biopsy.
S9, EP10 "Big Bite, Pig Attitude!"Dr. K has her hands full with feisty patients, including an ornery pig with a lump in its throat and a sassy skunk that needs an attitude adjustment.
S9, EP7 "Sugar Glider Honey Bunch"A family of guinea pigs come in for checkups; a tortoise has a suspicious growth; sugar gliders have a slew of unexpected issues.
