Before hosting Discovery's "Dirty Jobs," Mike Rowe had a program in San Francisco about folks on a mission -- mad scientists, eccentric collectors, devoted do-gooders -- called "Somebody's Gotta Do It." Now, CNN gives Rowe free rein to scour the country for people who, he says, "do what they do because of a weird mix of love, compulsion, obsession, dedication -- whatever it is. Those people have always interested me." The former series focused on the task, but this version spotlights the personality. Or, as he puts it: "More mission, less poop."
S3 "Longsword; Archery"
Mike explores the world of historical and modern combat in California; he begins at Davenriche European Martial Arts School with Steaphen Fick, learning longsword techniques, armor training, and the history of medieval weapons; later, he visits the Archery Outpost to train in modern archery with experts, discovering bow mechanics, proper form, and the legacy of archers.
S1, EP3 "Oyster Orgy"
Mike learns why oysters are so environmentally and economically important as he helps Dr. Mutt Merritt orchestrate an oyster orgy to save the Chesapeake Bay; Don Daughtry leads a drum and dance corps called The Marching Cobras in Kansas City, Mo.
S3, EP1 "Dude Perfect"
Mike tags along with group of college friends who gained fame online from basketball trick shots.
S3 "Tilapia Fishing"
Mike Rowe jumps into gator-infested waters to help the Wadley family catch wild tilapia.
