With the popularity of Las Vegas-based "Pawn Stars," History is expanding the franchise and heading south with "Cajun Pawn Stars," set at the Silver Dollar Pawn & Jewelry Center in Alexandria, La. Jimmie "Big Daddy" DeRamus has owned and operated the shop with his family for more than two decades. DeRamus is a walking encyclopedia when it comes to historic collectibles, which is not surprising given that his store houses more than 100,000 artifacts. Much like the original "Pawn Stars," in addition to the items that are brought into the store, the show focuses on Jimmie and his family -- younger brother Johnnie and daughter Tammie -- as they run the store as well as the experts that are brought in to help appraise the items.
