Lucy Ricardo is the wacky wife of Cuban bandleader Ricky Ricardo. Living in New York, Ricky tries to succeed in show business while Lucy -- always trying to help -- usually manages to get in some kind of trouble that drives Ricky crazy. Their best friends are Fred and Ethel Mertz, who are also their landlords. Usually, Ethel becomes Lucy's less-than-willing partner in crime. Ricky and Lucy welcomed little Ricky in 1953, whose birth was a national TV event. Later in the show's run, the Ricardos (and the Mertzes) moved to Hollywood, where Ricky tried to become a movie star.
S1, EP12 "The Adagio"
Ethel finds someone to teach Lucy an Apache dance that she wants to perform in Ricky's show. The dance instructor thinks he should also be romantic to American women. When Lucy rejects his advances, he challenges Ricky to a duel.
S1, EP13 "The Benefit"
Ethel wants Ricky to be in her benefit show, but Lucy insists that the only way to get Ricky is to let her be in it too. Ricky chooses a song for Lucy to sing, but selects one that has jokes in it where Ricky gets all the punch lines.
S1, EP14 "The Amateur Hour"
Lucy takes a job as a babysitter for a pair of mischievous twins. Their mother asks that Lucy be in a talent show with the boys and, if they win, she can keep the prize money. Lucy and the boys sing with a little dancing helped by a pet frog.
S1, EP15 "Lucy Plays Cupid"
Lucy tries to arrange a match between a love-starved old lady (Bea Benaderet) and a giddy grocery man (Edward Everett Horton), but in her efforts to play Cupid, Lucy gives the grocer the idea that she has a crush on him.
S4, EP12 "Lucy Learns to Drive"
Lucy persuades Ricky to give her driving lessons.
