S6, EP7 "Knob-Billed Duck In Peru, Number 14"It took a couple days longer than expected, but Mark Peterson finally gets species number 14, the Knob-Billed duck while hunting in Peru. After a couple of close calls, this one was the definition of adapt and overcome. Mark and the crew had to first find the birds, then learn what it was going to take to get into the right position in order to capitalize. Of course, there was some fast mid-day action along the way to keep spirits high.
S6, EP6 "Cinnamon Teal Everywhere- First Hunt in Peru"Mark's quest for the South America Waterfowl Slam has now taken him to Peru where he finds a surprising density of Cinnamon Teal. Although he already checked this species off the list in Argentina, his first hunt in Peru proves to be one of the best Cinnamon Teal shoots of his life. This is only the first afternoon and there are 5 days left to hunt the remaining 7 species.
S6, EP5 "Lucky 13 - Brazilian Teal in Argentina"Mark finally closes in on the Brazilian Teal in Argentina. This is the last of the 13 species that he had planned to target while hunting in Argentina for the South America Waterfowl Slam, but it didn't come easy. To find this last one, he and the crew must travel farther North to warmer weather and ultimately find themselves wrapping up this leg of the journey.
S6, EP4 "Just One More, Duck Hunting In Argentina"Mark's time in Argentina is winding down and he needs just one more species before moving on to Peru: the Brazilian Teal. The guides have seen a few in the area so Mark and his crew try some new tactics, hoping to close in on the 13th and final species on this leg of the journey.
S6, EP3 "The Way Luck Works, 4th Day In Argentina"Mark Peterson is duck hunting for the 4th day in Argentina and finds that luck is on his side. He and Matt head to a blind for an early morning hunt in hopes of getting a Black Headed Duck before they disappear for the day in the reeds. He also still needs a Red Shoveler, but things take a quick turn while he is walking through the marsh, about to call it a day.
S6, EP2 "Half Way There - Chilean Wigeon & Rosy Bill"Mark Peterson closes out the half way point on the South America Waterfowl Slam. On just the third day of the hunt, he is able to take a Chilean Wigeon and a Rosy Billed Pochard which make species number 9 and 10 of the 20 on his list. Mark is still sharing the blind with Matt Gindorff, a WTA consultant, and they discuss waterfowl hunting in Argentina and how it compares to that of the U.S.
