Two climbers are trapped on a sheer ledge with darkness closing in and no torches between them. And a family takes a wrong turn on one of Wales' most unforgiving peaks, turning a day out into a frightening ordeal. The teams have seen a lot - but tonight throws them something different.

Multiple teams mobilise to reach a seriously injured man trapped in dense woodland in South Eryri, racing against time through difficult terrain. Thick fog rolls in without warning and swallows two walkers whole, leaving rescuers searching blind. And deep in the ridges of a remote mountain, a lone woman has disappeared into terrain so complex that even a helicopter struggles to pick her out. It is one of those shifts where everything is hard and nothing goes simply.

A serious crash in a remote location triggers a full multi-agency response as emergency teams converge on an isolated mountain road. A rescue helicopter winches a critically injured woman from the floor of a steep and treacherous gorge in a technically demanding operation. And at a local race event, a team of volunteers expecting a routine day suddenly find themselves responding to an emergency no one saw coming. High stakes across the board.
