In a potential first-round preview of the Pac-12 tournament, Arizona and Oregon meet for a three-game series in college baseball on Thursday.
Heading into the final weekend of Pac-12 regular season play, No. 25 Arizona and Oregon sit in fourth and fifth place respectively in the conference standings. Those two seeds meet in the first game of the Pac-12 tournament, which begins next week. Whether or not the Wildcats and Ducks will still be on those spots will be decided this weekend when they meet for a three-game series in Eugene beginning on Thursday.

Arizona put together one of its best series and biggest wins last weekend. The Wildcats took two of three games from then-No. 1 Oregon State, with a 5-2 win on Saturday and 10-5 victory on Sunday.
Sophomore catcher Daniel Susac came up big for the Wildcats throughout the series. He finished the weekend 6-of-13 at the plate with four runs driven in. That increased his season average to .368, which leads Arizona and is the second-best mark in the Pac-12.
Oregon took two of three from Arizona State last weekend, putting up big run totals in the process with wins of 11-3 and 15-5. Over the last two weeks, the Ducks have won four of five games and are averaging 10 runs per game in that span.
That kind of offensive explosion is nothing new for the Ducks. They lead the Pac-12 in most major offensive categories, including batting average (.307), slugging percentage (.478), and runs scored (396). They’re also tied for second with 67 home runs.
