5. LSU Tigers
LSU is averaging an outstanding 548.3 yards per game of offense this season. The reason this team is ranked No. 22 in the nation is because its defense is letting up 445.7 yards on average per game. Quarterback Jayden Daniels has 1,969 yards through the air while Malik Nabers and Brian Thomas Jr. have pulled down 771 and 603 yards respectively from Daniels. Daniels also boasts 19 touchdowns this year with Nabers and Thomas accounting for 15 of them. Logan Diggs leads the backfield with 488 yards, but he is followed closely by Daniels with 422. Diggs and Daniels both have four touchdowns on the ground.
4. Oklahoma Sooners
Undefeated Oklahoma is producing an average of 506 yards of offense per game. Senior Dillon Gabriel is making a name for himself after transferring from UCF in his junior year. Gabriel has 1,878 yards and 16 touchdowns through the air. He also has his name as one of the top Heisman candidates this season. Gabriel has 208 yards on the ground with another five touchdowns as the offense’s leader. Gabriel has two 400-yard receivers with Andrel Anthony and Jalil Farooq. Anthony has 429 yards while Farooq has 415. Surprisingly the two have only combined for three touchdowns.

3. Oregon Ducks
Oregon is also undefeated this season as is the rest of this list. This is one of the surprise teams that not many people have heard about, but they have surprisingly made it up to rank No. 8 in the nation with a huge game against No. 7 Washington this week. Senior Bo Nix, an Auburn transfer, has 1,459 yards with 15 touchdowns through the air and another touchdown on the ground. This team has a pair of ace running backs, Bucky Irving and Jordan James. They have combined for 680 yards and 11 touchdowns on the ground. Troy Franklin has hauled in 32 receptions for 535 yards and seven touchdowns from Nix.
2. USC Trojans
USC dropped a spot in the rankings down to No. 10 after a mediocre win over Arizona 43-41 in three overtimes last week. Despite that, this team still boasts the No. 1 player in the country and the Heisman frontrunner Caleb Williams. The junior quarterback has 1,822 yards through the air and 124 on the ground. He also has an outstanding 28 total touchdowns with only one interception. Tahj Washington is his leading receiver with 456 yards and five touchdowns. South Carolina transfer Marshawn Lloyd has 519 yards on the ground with four touchdowns. They are averaging 523 yards of offense.

1. Washington Huskies
Washington is 5-0 this season and the No. 7 team in the nation. The Huskies are averaging 569 yards of offense while the defense is holding to 365 yards per game. They could easily be the best team in the nation by the end of the year. Michael Penix leads the team. He has 1,999 yards and 16 touchdowns in 2023. Rome Odunze, Jalen McMillan, and Ja’lynn Polk lead a trio of deadly receivers. Odunze has 608 yards, Polk, 468 and McMillan, 311. Together, the three have combined for 11 of Penix’s touchdowns. Junior running back Dillon Johnson has been taking care of work on the ground too with 240 yards and four touchdowns.
