After finishing the regular season strong with two consecutive wins heading into the Big East Tournament, No. 2 seed Georgetown faces off against No. 3 seed Providence on Thursday night.
Following a win over Villanova to wrap up the regular season, the Hoyas completed a solid regular season campaign with a 10-3 overall record and a 4-1 mark in conference play. Providence, on the other hand, is an even 7-7 on the year with a 3-2 record in Big East play. Earlier this season, Georgetown took care of business in a 15-10 win over Providence on the road. The winner of this semifinal plays the winner of top-seed Denver vs. No. 4 seed Villanova in the championship game on Saturday.

Most recently, Georgetown clinched the second seed in the Big East Championship with a 12-4 victory over Villanova last Friday night. Graham Bundy Jr. led the Hoyas with four goals, while TJ Haley had a six-point night with a goal and five assists. The Hoyas reached the 10-win milestone for the sixth straight season.
As for Providence, the Friars ended the regular season on a high note with a 16-13 victory over St. John’s last weekend. Ryan Bell had a monster game with seven total points on four goals and three assists, while Jack Horrigan had a four-goal performance.
