Texas A&M takes on in-state foe Texas State in the regional final on Sunday afternoon
Texas A&M looks to move on to the Super Regionals next weekend when it takes on Texas State on Sunday afternoon. The Aggies come into Sunday needing just one win over the Bobcats to move on after they won their first two games of the regional. They knocked off Albany in the first game 6-2 and then snuck by the Bobcats on Saturday 1-0. The Aggies got the lone run of the game in the bottom of the first inning. Kennedy Powell led off the game with a walk and advanced to second on a Koko Wooley single. Trinity Cannon would then get her home with a sacrifice fly and that would be all the Aggies would need. Emiley Kennedy was great on the mound as she pitched all seven innings, giving up just four hits and striking out six.
