The Texas Rangers take on the Oakland Athletics on Tuesday afternoon in the second game of a four-game set. The Rangers took the opener on Monday when they erased a two-run deficit with three runs in the eighth and one more in the ninth to get the 4-2 win. The victory was their third in a row and it pushed their record to 20-16 on the season. They now sit a half-game up on the Seattle Mariners for first place in the AL West. The Rangers will look to continue their winning streak when they send Jose Urena to the mound. Urena will be used as an opener as the Rangers will be using Tuesday as a bullpen game.

The Athletics will turn to Ross Stripling as they try and snap a two-game losing streak and even the series.
Stripling has struggled this season and comes into Tuesday just 1-5 on the season with a 4.24 ERA. The A’s have won his last two starts after losing his first five this season.
The A’s have lost two in a row, but had won their previous six games and were 8-1 during a nine-game stretch. With the loss on Monday, though, they have dropped back down to 17-19 on the season.
