This game returned last season after a year off due to the pandemic. The North took full advantage leading the entire game and earning a shutout winning the 2021 All-Star game 26-0.

This game will take place at South Charleston High School in Black Eagle Stadium, representing the southern part of the state. Practices have been held on the West Virginia State campus. Coach Brian Thomas of Musselman High School will lead the North Bears, while Brad Dingess of Spring Valley High School will guide the South Cardinals.
North will be led by receiver Hudson Clement of Martinsburg High School and he was named West Virginia Gatorade Football Player of the year and helped the Bulldogs earn their fifth Class AAA title in six seasons.
