Denver and Boston University square off on Thursday afternoon in the first game of the Frozen Four. The Pioneers come into the game after winning the Northeast Regional over Cornell last Saturday. It wasn’t easy, though, as they scored just two goals and had to fend off a pesky Big Red team. They gave up the first goal of the game 6:44 into the first period, but a goal 12 minutes later from Miko Matikka tied it up. Sam Harris would get the game-winner with just five seconds left in the second period. The Pioneers would hold the Big Red scoreless the rest of the way to punch their ticket to the Frozen Four.
