Jose Berrios and the Toronto Blue Jays will take the mound against Frambler Valdez and the Houston Astros tonight.
The Toronto Blue Jays will stay on the road for the second game of a three-game series against the Houston Astros at Minute Maid Park in Texas tonight. The Astros took the first game without much of a fight. They were able to shut out their opponent at home with a 10-0 win. Ronel Blanco picked up the win while the offense was provided in large part by Kyle Tucker who had a monster two home run game. He also had four RBIs while scoring two runs and batting 2-for-3 on the night. Surprisingly, Tucker wasn’t the only player to have a two-home run night as catcher Yainer Diaz also had two home runs with two RBIs on the way to the 10-0 rout. The Blue Jays dropped to 2-3 on the season after splitting their opening series with the Tampa Bay Rays 2-2. Former Red Sox Justin Turner has provided a spark to this offense already with a home run and four RBIs while George Springer has already hit two home runs in five games.

Jose Berrios will get the start for Toronto in this second game. He also has a win under his belt through just one start. He went 6.0 innings against the Tampa Bay Rays giving up two earned runs on two hits with one home run and six strikeouts. He will look to continue that competitive play-style here tonight.
Houston will start long-time starter Frambler Valdez back on the mound tonight. The left-hander had a first game that he would like to forget. He went just 4.2 innings giving up three earned runs on five hits and striking out just five batters while walking six. His goal will be to get back to ace form tonight.
