Gillette Stadium is set to host the exciting mid-week matchup between home team New England Revolution and visiting side Club América on Tuesday in the CONCACAF Champions Cup. The meeting marks the first leg of the quarterfinal matchup between the two sides. The Revolution advanced to the final eight of the tournament thanks to a 5-1 aggregate finish over Costa Rica’s L.D. Alajuelense in the round of 16. New England won the first leg 4-0 at Gillette Stadium on March 6. Nick Lima, Tomás Chancalay (twice) and Esmir Bajraktarevic all got on the scoresheet to secure the first-leg thrashing at home. Then, the Revolution visited Alajuelense to a 1-1 finish in Costa Rica on March 14. Giacomo Vrioni scored the equalizer in the 81st minute of the match.
