The last five meetings between Juventus and Cagliari have each gone in favor of Serie A’s all-time record title-winners, suggesting lucky No. 6 may not be far off for Massimiliano Allegri & Co. as they face off on Friday. And the Bianconeri has an opportunity to complete a league double over this opponent for the third season in succession, having gone undefeated in their last three outings. However, Cagliari is also unbeaten in three and has conjured up its best form of the season to date as it looks to stave off the threat of relegation, hoping to turn the screw against one of its tormentors from recent campaigns.

Beating Juve at home will be a similar challenge in terms of scale, though perhaps slightly lesser given Allegri’s side has struggled somewhat on the road of late.
The Turin derby saw Juventus draw 0-0 with rival Torino last weekend, which marked a fifth straight-away fixture in which the Bianconeri have failed to bag maximum spoils.
Granted, three of those road defeats came in trips to Inter, Napoli and Lazio, but it appeared as if a revitalized Juve was beyond such slip-ups after such a strong start to this season.
Juve has very little to fight for approaching the end of this campaign, even though the title may not mathematically belong to the Nerazzurri just yet.
That being said, relegation-threatened Cagliari very much still has its survival target in sight as the club isn’t safe just yet, raising the potential for an upset at the Unipol Domus.
