Central Connecticut State (6-8) visits Northeastern (16-6) for a non-conference matchup on Tuesday at Friedman Diamond in Brookline, Massachusetts, the Huskies’ home field. The Blue Devils come off losing two of three last weekend to Northeast Conference foe Wagner while Northeastern took two of three to win its opening Coastal Athletic Association series at Hofstra. CCSU has played in two of the last three NCAA tournaments and eight since 2002, never advancing beyond regional play. The Huskies were also an NCAA tournament team last season as well as in 2021 and made their lone College World Series appearance in 1966. The program has 10 NCAA tourney bids in all, four since 2003.

Among qualifiers, left-hander Will Jones posts a 5.48 ERA and 1.30 WHIP in 23 innings, striking out 23. He has started one game and worked in relief in five others.
The Huskies are 23-11 against Central Connecticut State and have won the last seven meetings.
