A place at Euro 2024 is on the line for Wales and Poland as the two continental hopefuls collide in Cardiff
One of Wales or Poland will discover their Euro 2024 fate by the end of play on Tuesday as the Path A play-off finalists go head-to-head for one of the three places remaining in this summer’s competition. Both teams came through their respective semi-final tests with flying colors as Wales thrashed Finland 4-1, while Poland picked apart 10-man Estonia en route to a 5-1 demolition of its own. Rob Page’s hosts are focused on reaching the finals of the European Championship for the third time in a row, but the Poles have form in this fixture after winning the last six straight meetings with Wales.

These two countries have become well-acquainted with one another since the turn of the century, with Poland undefeated in that span and winning all but one of their seven encounters.
The most recent of those was a two-legged affair during the 2022-23 UEFA Nations League, where it was the Eagles who came out on top in both home and away fixtures.

The rivals will again go to war in Wales’ capital on Tuesday, but the stakes are higher than ever as a Euro 2024 spot lies on the line for the team able to emerge triumphant.
The midweek outing will be a first for Michal Probierz, who was promoted to Poland’s helm just last year but will look to carry on the tradition started by his predecessors in this head-to-head.
Barcelona frontman and captain Robert Lewandowski will be a key element for the visiting outfit ahead of what will be his last attempt at Euro gold.
The same can be said for Wales skipper Aaron Ramsey, who turns out his home stadium looking to keep alive the embers of what remains of a golden generation for Wales.
