No. 2 Duke visits rival North Carolina to wrap up the regular season on Saturday.
With the longtime rival wrapping up the regular season ahead of the ACC Men’s Lacrosse Championship, North Carolina hosts No. 2 Duke at Dorrance Field in Chapel Hill on Saturday. The Blue Devils got back in the win column with a huge win over No. 2 Virginia last week, improving their overall record to 11-3 with a 1-2 mark in conference play this season. Duke is also 3-1 on the road, with seven of its 11 wins coming at home this season. North Carolina, on the other hand, has lost five straight games to drop to 6-7 overall with a 0-3 mark in conference play and a 1-5 home record. Last season, the Blue Devils cruised to a 15-8 win over North Carolina and have won three in a row over the Tar Heels.

Most recently, the Blue Devils won in convincing fashion over then-No.2 Virginia by a final score of 18-12 last Saturday in Durham. Duke’s attack trio of Josh Zawada, Brennan O’Neill and Dyson Williams combined to score 12 goals in the contest. Freshman goaltender Patrick Jameison also made 13 saves in net.
As for North Carolina, the Tar Heels fell to top-ranked Notre Dame by a final score of 14-6 in South Bend last Saturday. Logan McGovern scored twice for the Heels in the loss.
The second-ranked Blue Devils look to finish the regular season strong against North Carolina.
