Racing Louisville aims to snap draw streak as San Diego Wave rolls into the Derby City
Unable to secure leads in two of its first three matches this season, Racing Louisville FC welcomes San Diego Wave FC into Lynn Family Stadium tonight in search of its first win of the year. Racing has twice had 2-0 first half leads only to settle for draws and comes into this weekend as the only team in the NWSL without a win or a loss in 2024. San Diego lost its opener to Kansas City Current back in mid-March before picking up a 1-0 home win over Seattle Reign two weeks ago and heads to Kentucky for its first away fixture of the 2024 campaign.

Louisville’s Uchenna Kanu made NWSL history last week scoring the fastest brace in league history netting two goals in the game’s first five minutes and 40 seconds. The 26-year-old Nigerian star has scored 20 goals in 31 matches for her home country including goals in the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup and in the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations tournament.
The United States Women’s National team is well represented in tonight’s game as Morgan, along with defender Abby Dahlkemper, forward Jaedyn Shaw, and NWSL Defender of the Year Naomi Girma will suit up for San Diego while Savannah DeMelo will start for Racing Louisville.
The all-time series between these clubs is split 1-1-2 with San Diego winning the last meeting in October.
