Jimmy Butler and the Miami Heat host the Toronto Raptors to close out the season today.
The Miami Heat (45-36) do not have as much control of their playoff fate as the other teams in the Eastern Conference on the final day of the regular season. Miami needs to win today and for all of the Orlando Magic, Indiana Pacers and Philadelphia 76ers to lose for the team to move up to fifth in the Eastern Conference. Other combinations could allow Miami to move up into sixth place and avoid the Play-In Tournament. They take on the Toronto Raptors (25-56) who have lost three games in a row and 20 of 26 games since the All-Star Break to fall out of the playoffs.

This season Miami has won two of the first three games between the teams heading into the fourth and final game today. They have wins of 112-103 and 125-103, losing 121-97 in between those two wins.
In the last game between the teams two days ago Miami won 125-103 led by Nikola Jovic’s 22 points. That was just the third game this season Jovic scored over 20 points as the second-year forward was able to lead six different players scoring in double-figures.
Jaime Jaquez Jr. (20 points off the bench), Bam Adebayo (19 points), Tyler Herro (17 points), Jimmy Butler (14 points) and Kevin Love (14 points off the bench) all finished in double-figures scoring. Miami was without Terry Rozier in the win. Another win for Miami today would give the team its best opportunity to avoid the Play-In Tournament again this season.
