St. Louis City SC looks to snap winless streak as Austin FC aims for third straight victory
With confidence riding high off consecutive victories, Austin FC looks to get its first-ever win over St. Louis City SC today as they visit CITYPARK for a Sunday matinee. St. Louis City started the 2024 MLS season unbeaten through two matches but has been winless ever since, settling for four draws in their last five games including the first meeting against Austin back in early March. That draw was the first time Austin had exited a game with St. Louis City with points having been swept by the expansion side last season being outscored 9-5 in the two losses.

Austin has had a balanced scoring attack so far this season as Diego Rubio, Guilherme Biro, Julio Cascante and Sebastián Driussi have each tallied a pair of goals. Drissui scored twice in the second half of last weekend’s 4-3 home win over San Jose Earthquakes including the game-winner in the 11th minute of injury time to cap off the come-from-behind win.
St. Louis City dazzled MLS in their inaugural season last year winning 17 of 34 matches winning the Western Conference regular season title paced by MLS Goalkeeper of the Year Roman Bürki.
City is unbeaten at home this season and is 12-4-5 all-time in MLS play outscoring its opponents 46-20 and in 21 matches in league play has only trailed for 204 of the 1890 minutes played.
