Aaron Civale and the Tampa Bay Rays will take the mound against Patrick Sandoval
The Tampa Bay Rays will stay on the road for the second game of this three-game series against the Los Angeles Angels at Angel Stadium in Anaheim, California, tonight. The Angels lead the series after a 7-1 win yesterday in the series opener. Mike Trout came out swinging scoring Anthony Rendon on his first at-bat in the first inning to give them a 1-0 lead. Taylor Ward then scored trout just one batter later. Trout came back up in the third inning and blasted a 423-foot home run to put Los Angeles up 3-0. Ward hit a two-RBI single in the fifth to go up 5-0. Luis Rengifo and Mickey Moniak had RBIs in the seventh and eighth innings to extend the lead even further. Isaac Paredes grounded into a double play that scored Harold Ramirez in the ninth inning for the Rays only run of the game after already being down 7-0. They will look to bounce back tonight.

Tampa Bay will give the starting nod to Aaron Civale tonight. The right-hander has pitched two starts this season and is 1-1. He won his first game after going 6.0 innings with one earned run on a home run and six strikeouts. His second start was similar without the offensive backing. He went 6.0 innings with one earned run and eight strikeouts.
Patrick Sandoval will get the ball on the mound to start the game for Los Angeles. He lost his first game against the Baltimore Orioles 11-3 giving up three earned runs in 1.2 innings with two strikeouts. His second start was lightyears better going 5.2 innings with two earned runs with seven strikeouts in 93 pitches.
