The Los Angeles Lakers host the Indiana Pacers on Sunday night looking to improve in their play-in standing.
Both the Indiana Pacers and Los Angeles Lakers go for their third win in a row when they meet in LA on Sunday night. The Lakers hope to take a 2-0 lead in this three-game season series. The Lakers are only slight 3.5-point favorites though. Los Angeles is coming off a 101-94 win against the Philadelphia 76ers on Friday. The Lakers pulled away in the fourth quarter under the grit of Anthony Davis and LeBron James. Davis led the game with 23 points and an astounding 19 rebounds. James had 20 points and the Lakers ended a seven-game losing streak against the Sixers that dated back to 2020. D’Angelo Russell hit a huge franchise record milestone passing Nick Van Exel for the most three pointers in franchise history with 184. LA is still three games back of the eighth seed which is currently held by the Dallas Mavericks.

The Pacers are two games behind the fifth seed and are coming off a 123-111 over the Golden State Warriors on Friday. Tyrese Haliburton led all scorers with 26 points. Pascal Siakam was right behind him with 25 and nabbed 16 rebounds. The game was close in the third but Indiana pulled away and in the process the Pacers at the very least clinched a play-in spot.
