The WTA Doubles final is set to be disputed at the 2024 Madrid Open on Sunday. The No. 6-seeded pairing of Barbora Krejčíková and Laura Siegemund will be going up against the No. 8-seeded duo of Cristina Bucsa and Sara Sorribes Tormo for the Masters 1000 title. The Spanish eight-seed kicked off the tournament with a three-set victory over against the Brazilian pairing of Ingrid Martins and Beatriz Haddad Maia. Buca and Sorribes Torno won the first set 6-4, before falling 6-1 in the second set. The two from Spain then took the definitive super tiebreaker 10-8 to advance to the round of 16.

Then, Buca and Sorribes Tormo took a straight-set finish over Chan Hao-ching and Veronika Kudermetova, 7-6, 6-1, to advance to the quarterfinals.
The Spanish pairing needed three sets again to beat Saisai Zheng and Xinyu Wang in the quarterfinals, taking the definitive super tiebreaker 10-5 to push through to the semifinals.
Bucsa and Sorribes Tormo needed two sets to get past the unseeded Anastasia Potapova and Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova and advance to the tournament final, 6-4, 7-6.
Meanwhile, Krejčíková and Siegemund beat the top-seeded duo of Elise Mertens and Su-wei Hsieh in the semifinals to adance to the final, 6-3, 7-5.
