The Dodgers had a very up and down game last night. Mitchell White was no-hitting the Rockies into the sixth inning, but with one hit gave up a run and the club was down 1-0. They rallied to tie it by the ninth inning, when Mookie Betts hit a walk off infield single to win 2-1 and complete the sweep. Even when this club can’t score much, they still find a way to win.Â
The Cubs also won 2-1 last night, but it took some rallying in the eighth and ninth inning against the Brewers bullpen. They were getting shut out for seven innings. P.J. Higgins hit the go-ahead double to score the winning run. Now Chicago will try to keep it up by starting Mark Leiter Jr. (2-2, 4.85 ERA), while the Dodgers will start Tony Gonsolin. He has yet to lose a game with a 10-0 record and a 1.54 ERA.
