Brad Marchand and the Boston Bruins will take the ice against Auston Matthews and the Toronto Maple Leafs on Wednesday night.

The Boston Bruins will head on the road in the third game of a best-of-seven series against the Toronto Maple Leafs at Scotiabank Arena on Wednesday night. Through two games in Boston the series is tied 1-1. The Bruins won the first game of the series 5-1 on April 20. John Beecher opened the scoring in the first period of that win with assists from Jesper Boqvist and Pat Maroon. Boston just kept adding to the score with three more goals in the second period to go up 4-0 heading into the third period. Brandon Carlo, assisted by Jake DeBrusk and Hampus Lindholm, scored the first goal of that period followed by two goals from DeBrusk, with both goals assisted by Charlie McAvoy and Brad Marchand.

It wasn’t until the third period that Toronto got on the board for the first time, but Boston added one more as extra insurance with an empty net goal from Trent Frederic assisted by David Pastrnak. Boston will look to win at least one game on the road between this and the next games.

The Maple Leafs came back and took the second game 3-2 to even the series at 1-1, and more importantly, win a game on the road. They went down 2-1 by the end of the first period, with Max Domi scoring the only goal for the team in that period, assisted by superstar Auston Matthews. The second period was a different story.

Toronto was the only team to score in the next period with John Tavares putting in the equalizing goal, assisted by Matthews and Tyler Bertuzzi. Heading into the third period tied 2-2, who other than Matthews put in the game-winning goal, assisted by Domi and Ilya Lyubushkin to win the game and even the series.
