Then, the Cardinals lost 11-2 to the Brewers on Friday with Nolan Gorman hitting the team’s lone home run. Lance Lynn lasted nearly five innings on the mound for St. Louis, where he allowed five hits and four runs in that span.
The Cardinals then lost 5-3 in game three on Saturday, where Nootbaar (two) and Gorman had RBIs.
Finally, St. Louis beat the Brewers 4-3 on Sunday at American Family Field thanks to RBIs from Nootbaar, Paul Goldschmidt (two) and Michael Siani.
