How to Watch Cardinals at Padres: Stream MLB Live, TV Channel

The San Diego Padres host the St. Louis Cardinals for the second game of this series on Tuesday.

Either the St. Louis Cardinals (2-3) or the San Diego Padres (3-4) will get back to even in the standings with their game Tuesdat. Both teams have started the season off with some inconsistent play, with St. Louis winning the first game of this three game series. In the first game St. Louis got off to a hot start, scoring four runs in the first two innings and then added two more later in the sixth inning to ward off San Diego for the win. The bats were working early with Nolan Arenado scoring a run when Wilson Contreras brought him home with his first home run of the season.

San Diego will look to even the series with right-handed veteran Yu Darvish (0-0) on the mound for his third start of the season. In his first two games Darvish has just a 1.04 ERA in 8.2 innings pitched. He will face-off with Miles Mikolas (0-1), who gave up five runs in 4.1 innings in his first start.

The two runs scored in the first game of this series were the lowest in a game this season for San Diego. The Padres will look to get the bats going after finishing with just two runs on five hits, both runs coming on solo home runs from Jackson Merrill and Fernando Tatis Jr.

This season Tatis Jr. is off to a torrid start with three home runs, tied for the third-most in the National League. His power has been wasted with two of those home runs coming with no runners on base and only four RBIs so far this season. San Diego has a potential contender for the NL home run leader this season with the pace Tatis Jr. is setting.

Regional restrictions may apply.
