The Astros’ trip to the Big Apple flips from the Bronx to Queens as they begin a series with the Mets on Tuesday.
Over the weekend, the Astros were in New York City, taking on the Yankees for four games. After an off-day on Monday, they continue their tour of the Big Apple when they head from the Bronx to Queens for two games against the Mets at Citi Field.

After splitting the series’ first two games, the Astros made national headlines on Saturday with a combined no-hitter against the Yankees’ best lineup in baseball. They threw another 6.1 scoreless on Sunday before falling 6-3.
After splitting that series, the Astros sit at 45-27 on the season. That’s good for a double-digit lead in the American League Central.
The Mets are coming off a series win on the road against the Marlins, taking two of three in Miami. Their pitching staff also put together a strong showing, allowing just three runs in each of the three games.
With those wins, the Mets are 47-27 on the year and that’s the best record in the National League.
This week’s series is the second of the year between the Astros and Mets. They also played each other twice early last week, with the Astros winning both games.
