The Los Angeles Angels and Seattle Mariners square off in the first game of a doubleheader Saturday.
Robbie Ray returned back to his Cy Young form on Friday to tie this series up against the Seattle Mariners. They tied this series against the Los Angeles Angels in a well-rounded performance. The Angels won the first game of the season between this two on Thursday 4-1. The Mariners and Ray more than countered by nearly throwing a no-hitter on their way to an 8-1 win in this five-game series.

Ray went seven innings and only gave up one run while striking out 10 batters. He had a no-hitter going into the seventh inning with two outs. Then Max Stassi hit an infield single back to Ray that hit off of his glove. It was called an infield single and the no-no was over just like that. The Angels scored the next inning after the Mariners scored eight unanswered in a lopsided victory.
This game is the first of a doubleheader today. Patrick Sandoval will go for the Angels in game three today. The lefty is 3-2 with a 2.83 ERA. Chris Flexen will go for Seattle.
