Tyler O’Neill, the former St. Louis Cardinal, hit the game-winning RBI in the top of the 11th inning after hitting into a double-play that allowed Wilyer Aubrey to score. Story had another two-RBI game to propel Boston ahead with two others who also had RBIs. The Athletics are just 1-5 now this season. J.D. Davis has been the best batter on the team, hitting .333 with two home runs and two RBIs.

    Nick Pivetta will lead Boston out onto the field today, getting his second start of the season in this last game of the series. The right-hander lost his first outing of the year to the Seattle Mariners, giving up one earned run on three hit,s going 6.0 innings while striking out 10 batters on 84 pitches.

    The former San Francisco Giant, Ross Stripling, will get the start for Oakland in this game. The right-hander also lost his first game of the season against the Cleveland Guardians, going five innings, giving up four earned runs on seven hits. He struck out six batters on 92 total pitches.
