The Tampa Bay Rays will stay on the road for the second game of a three-game series with the Colorado Rockies at Coors Field in Denver, Colorado, tonight. The Rockies lead the series thus far after taking a 10-7 win in the first game last night. Jalen Beeks, the former Tampa Bay Ray, picked up the win in relief fashion. Isaac Paredes put the Rays ahead 1-0 in the first inning with an RBI single before Colorado’s Nolan Jones tied the game with an RBI double in the bottom of the first. Yandy Diaz put Tampa Bay back in the lead in the second inning and it stayed that way until the sixth. Colorado scored twice in the sixth with an RBI from Elias Diaz and homer from Ezequiel Tovar. Tampa Bay went back into the lead after scoring four runs in the top of the ninth inning led by a run and RBI from Ben Rortvedt. However, it was Ryan McMahon who played hero hitting a game-winning home run in the bottom of the last inning.

Tyler Alexander will get his second start of the season for Tampa Bay tonight. The former Detroit Tiger, went 5.0 innings against the Toronto Blue Jays giving up five earned runs on six hits. The left-hander struck out four batters with two walks on a total of 82 pitches in that game.
Alexander will go up against Colorado’s Ryan Feltner. The right-hander is also pitching in his second start of the season tonight. He lasted 5.0 innings in his first start with three earned runs and an ERA of 5.40. He gave up five hits and one home run while striking out four batters on 86 pitches.
