Fantasy Football’s Best Projected DFS Lineup for Week 5

Here is a projected lineup for Week 5 of the NFL season. Catch Week 5 NFL action on Fubo this weekend with a free trial.

Fantasy football comes in all forms and playing the full-slate daily fantasy salary lineup is one of my favorites. Choosing where to lay your money out can be hard, but fortunately, you don’t have to look much further than this highly anticipated lineup. The monetary values for players and lineup positions come from Draft Kings and their common DFS Thursday to Monday slate.

QB: Sam Howell – Commanders – $5,200

Sam Howell had a great week last week throwing for 290 yards and a touchdown. He was able to bounce back after a horrid four-interception performance against the Bills in the week prior. I would anticipate Howell to go for over 250 yards and two touchdowns against a weak Chicago defense that just lost a 20-point lead to Denver.

RB: David Montgomery – Lions – $6,600

David Montgomery was able to find his way in the end zone three times last week and total 121 yards on the ground against a low-tier run defense. He totaled 34.10 points and will be back this week facing another bad defense in Carolina. He should be considered as a sleeper to top 100 yards and two touchdowns again.

RB: De’Von Achane – Dolphins – $6,100

De’Von Achane proved that his Week 3 explosion for 203 yards and four touchdowns wasn’t a fluke. He backed it up last week against the Bills with eight carries for 101 yards, averaging 13 yards per carry. He was also able to find the end zone twice in that endeavor. Facing another lower defense against the rush, I would anticipate Achane to feast again.

WR: Garrett Wilson – Jets – $6,000

After the loss of Rodgers, I didn’t know if I would be able to trust Garrett Wilson with Zach Wilson. However, last week against the league’s best team, they were able to connect on nine passes for 60 yards while Wilson (the receiver) saw 14 targets. If he sees that amount of work again, he should easily be able to top 15 points.

WR: Brandon Aiyuk – 49ers – $6,200

Brandon Aiyuk came back last week after missing Week 3 and caught six passes for 148 yards and a total of 20.80 points. It is not a coincidence that Brock Purdy is seeking out Aiyuk. Despite playing a stout Dallas defense minus Trevon Diggs, Aiyuk should still be able to top 75 yards and hopefully find the end zone.

WR: Romeo Doubs – Packers – $4,900

Romeo Doubs saw Christian Watson come back last week to the recovery room and Doubs didn’t miss a beat. He still caught nine receptions after seeing 13 targets (25 in two games). He has 95 yards as well. He is a consistent 18-plus point threat and should be considered such against another weak passing defense.

TE: Dalton Kincaid – Bills – $3,400

Dalton Kincaid has given us nothing to go on. I can’t sit here and say he posted some amazing stat line and you need to jump on the bandwagon. However, the Bills did not draft him this high not to use him and I believe his higher usage is closer than people might think. This matchup with Jacksonville might be the perfect time for him to surpass five receptions for 50 yards and a touchdown.

FLEX: Bijan Robinson – Falcons – $7,700

Bijan Robinson has been a top-10 back twice this season in Weeks 1 and 2. After a disappointing Week 3, he bounced back with an 18.70-point performance in Week 4 against a pretty good run defense in Jacksonville. He topped 100 yards for the second time this season, and I think he will do it again against a rough Houston run defense.

DEF: Detroit Lions – $3,800

The Lions have surpassed 10 points in each of their last two games with over five sacks in both of those games and two interceptions against the Packers last Thursday. They will play a Carolina offense that let the Vikings score 19 last week.
