Deciding on who to start and who to sit can be agonizing. The decisions have just been made easier thanks to the following article.
Some of the hardest decisions that fantasy football players make each week is who to start and who to sit. These decisions come back to haunt us after losing by five points with a player on your bench who broke loose for 30 more than the person you started. We have all been there. I can’t walk through every decision, but if you find yourself rostering one of these four players, you can comfortably make your decision on whether to start or whether to sit that particular player.

Start: Garrett Wilson, WR, Jets
After the downfall of Aaron Rodgers, I didn’t know whether or not Garrett Wilson would be a starter-worthy wide receiver moving forward. In the weeks after, it surely wasn’t looking good. He has a five-plus point game in Week 2 saved by a 75-yard touchdown and only saw five catches for 48 yards in Week 3, not even totaling 10 points. Last week proved me wrong, Zach Wilson looked to be poised and precise, which allowed Wilson (the receiver) to benefit. Garrett caught nine passes on 14 targets for 60 yards totaling 15 points against a good defense. This week, he will get the low-tier Broncos defense and should thrive should Zach be the same player he was last week.
Sit: Joe Burrow, QB, Bengals
Joe Burrow and this Bengals offense just simply do not look good. Outside of Week 2 against Baltimore, Burrow has not been able to top 10 fantasy points and had just 4.7 against the Titans last week on the road. He has gone over 250 yards just once and found the end zone in just one game this season. Until he proves that he can be a beneficial fantasy member, I’m sitting him on my bench despite the fact that he will be playing quite possibly one of the worst defenses in the league this week. To top it all off, WR2 Tee Higgins might be inactive with an injury further adding to this offense’s woes.

Start: Romeo Doubs, WR, Packers
I’ll admit, I was skeptical of Romeo Doubs’ potential involvement with Christian Watson coming back into the picture, but boy did Jordan Love and Doubs prove me wrong. Not only did he perform, but he saw 13 targets as well. He was able to pull those down for nine catches for 95 yards. He had 18.50 fantasy points without even finding the end zone, something he has not been able to do this season. Even with a struggling quarterback last week, he was just as efficient. Doubs should see a FLEX start in almost any league at this point.
Sit: Javonte Williams, RB, Broncos
There is a real chance that Javonte Williams will miss Week 5 with a hip issue that he sustained last week in a battle with Chicago. However, after he went out, Jaleel McLaughlin came in and topped what Williams had been able to do all season. McLaughlin totaled 72 yards on the ground and 32 yards in the air in a fraction of the game. Williams has not been able to top 55 yards on the ground or 25 yards in the air in any one game this season. If I were Denver, there would be discussions going on as to whether McLaughlin might be the better running back moving forward. You can feel comfortable sitting Javonte from here on out.
