The Panthers had been slumping as they lost eight of 10 in March, but they have started to right themselves with wins in three of their last four. Despite that slump, they are still just a point back of the Boston Bruins for the top spot in the Atlantic Division. The winner of the division will get the last wild card team, while the other will get the Toronto Maple Leafs in the first round. The Panthers do get their last two games at home and will be looking to take advantage.

The win snapped their two-game losing streak but was their third in the last five games. They now sit a game over .500 at 38-37-5 on the season.
They didn’t have a horrible season, but they are going to miss the playoffs yet again. They are getting closer to making the postseason, but they just didn’t find enough consistency this season to get over the hump.
