How to Watch the Seattle Seahawks in the 2022 NFL Draft

What will the Seahawks do in their first NFL Draft of the post-Russell Wilson era? Tune in Thursday to find out.

The Seahawks don’t have their own pick in this year’s NFL Draft, but they do have the No. 9 selection, which the team acquired from the Broncos this offseason in the trade that sent Russell Wilson to Denver.

The Seahawks went 7-10 last season. Russell Wilson started 14 games for the team, throwing 25 touchdowns and six picks. But the best QB in franchise history is gone now and it looks like the competition for the starting role is between Drew Lock and Geno Smith. Does that portend the Seahawks taking a passer in the first round?

The Seahawks could go a lot of different ways at No. 9 overall, largely because the team has a lot of different needs. If one of the top offensive tackles falls, the team almost has to take whichever it is, because the offensive line situation in Seattle is dire. The team could also take a defensive back like Sauce Gardner or could grab quarterback Malik Willis, though taking a QB in this particular draft is risky.

Whatever Seattle does, it’s going to be a new era this season at Lumen Field.
